The Second Running of the PCP2P…

January 6, 2010 by admin

Happy New Year!

Mark your calendars racers, we will be back at it right here in Park City, UT – Saturday, September 4th, 2010. The details will be unfolding over the next 9 months, so follow this weblog, follow our Twitter feed, or become a fan on our Facebook page – do something! Hell, why don’t you start training.

Registration will launch on February 15th, 2010. We will be feeding more information out on this very soon, so again, find a way to stay in touch and do it.

We already have a couple of noteworthy national competitors giving us initial word they will be out for this years event. The current 24 hour National Champion, Josh Tostado and Relative newcomer Eszter Horanyi winner of the Laramie Enduro, Vapor Trail 125, and 24-Hour National Championships in Moab. I’ve not heard any word yet on the returning champs, Alex Grant and Pua Sawicki, but I’m pretty certain it will be hard to keep them from defending their titles.

Registration open on February 15th, 2010 – That is Monday, Presidents Day! Mark your calendar, I’m guessing the race will fill quickly – just not sure how quick this year. 300 spaces are available.

I’m here in Utah, my local bike shop told me about it when I told him I wanted to do Leadville, but knew it would be virtually impossible to get in. Do you guys know an estimated registration date?

This is very cool. If I would of known about this last year and I didn’t get injured I would of done this last year. I guess I will start training right now for this year.

People are asking, and yes Moosepuddle Trail (at UOP) is closed currently, workaround for pre-riding to the finish for now is here > > > >
- Off Mid-Mtn onto Ambush
- Down to Rosebuds Heaven (adds a little to the climbing...about 350')
- Rosebuds to Rob's and down to parking lot, left on the road headed up
- Right off the roadway onto Iron Bill...and now you're back on track!

Our Strength and Conditioning partner is Off The Mountain - owner/founder, Ben Van Treese has just dropped a book we can all use that focuses on Back Pain. It's not a quick fix clearly, but this book gives you the tools for building a routine to help with the problem. Link below > what are you waiting for - you have three months before P2P to work on your LB pain.
