Note: you're timed from the moment you cross the start line to the moment you roll the finish line. This means you could essentially beat someone that starts in the wave prior to you. We will have color wrist bands again this year for ID on course.

7 AM- Pro/Open Men (Singlespeeder back of this group)
Pro/Open Women (2 minutes off)
7 – 8 Hrs. (2 minutes off)
8 – 9 Hrs. (2 minutes off)
9 plus Hrs. (2 minutes off)

2021 Course is final for the SCOTT Sports Park City Point to (2) Point!

There are a couple tweaks to the course this year, like, going up Rusty Shovel in Round Valley and a new route on Iron Mountain.

Get out there and check it out! The full course link is below, or, search "PCP2P" on Trailforks and it will populate the course broken down into 3 separate training routes.

Who has an opinion? Existing route...1 mile shorter, more taxing in my opinion. Option route, up and over Iron Man (bypass Gold Finger) and back onto Mid Mtn Trail. Both are rocky and nasty, but hey, this is the #parkcitypoint2point!

By this point I'm so blown and delirious that I'm just trying to keep myself turning over the pedals and get to Olympic so I can hold on for the final descent. I don't think it matters much. The rocky descent down Goldfinger always has me praying I don't flat anyway. Riding over Iron Man and out to the point and back is going to be just as tough I suspect.

I promise to cry regardless!

I think that the rocky section of mm plus gold finger is probably a little more taxing. Mainly because I’m planning on going full rigid for the race.

But what about the 9k trail? Does that have a place in P2p?

Only section that needs a "fix" is STEPS

Option route

Did we go up and over Iron Mountain in the first P2P? Can’t go wrong with either route. Both will be a suffer-fest. But my preference would be up and over iron mountain.

Thanks for all the comments, the final course will roll out in the next week or two, with a couple small changes (like what we've discussed here), but for the most part, it'll be the same.

The switchbacks on gold finger are one of the rewarding parts of the P2P course. On the other hand I guess I’ve never descended the north side of Ironman before…
