PCP2P 2019, Can You Do It?

August 28, 2019 by admin

Race day is near, and I thought it would be a good time to remind everyone riding this year of a few important details.

First, packet pick-up is this Friday between 3PM – 7PM (racer address is at 6:30PM). The location is at the Basin Recreation Field House located at Kimball Junction.

These are a few of the topics that will be covered on Friday night at the Racers Address.
• No parking at Round Valley (Start Area) after the start of the race and the racers have left the Round Valley Trail system.
• If you have support/family/friends going up to Deer Valley, they MUST have a lift ticket this year. There is a new ticketing system, and every rider must have a ticket. Each racer will receive 2 lift tickets with their entry. Spectators must park at the Snow Park base area (not at Silver Lake – there is no parking up there at all this year).
• There are no private canopies allowed at either Deer Valley or Park City this year (sports event umbrellas are OK).
• If you are using the drop-bag service, please mark your soft-sided cooler or bag with your racer number (we will put them in order so you can easily find them).

It is going to be hot and dry this year, please plan accordingly with your hydration planning. There is going to be a lot of water consumed, so if you’re worried about not having enough, make sure your support crew brings some extra (along with your Electrolytes of choice). We will have water at all the stations, but you never know, and better safe than sorry!

Of course, all this information and many more details on the event are located HERE in the Racers-Handbook.

See you all Friday night, and then at 7AM on the starting line Saturday.

Great to see 2x Point 2 Point champion and Monster Hydro athlete, Keegan Swenson, take the first-ever Utah version of the Canyon Belgian Waffle Ride. Awesome to see another great event in the state of Utah, and having a Utah rider on the top step. Read about it...
