Get Tough, for the P2P…or Life!

May 8, 2023 by admin

This event happened, if you want to watch the video, we recorded it on the P2P FACEBOOK page. Some good stuff in here, for sure. Fitness isn't all about racing; a lot of being fit is also simply being prepared to live your life at a high level. It's about feeling good while riding, walking, running, climbing, skiing, etc. To that point, strength, mobility, and cardio training should be a part … Read More

2022 Point 2 Point was a Cooker!

October 12, 2022 by admin

This year's Park City Point 2 Point was a hot one, certainly one of the top 3 hottest event days we've seen over the last 14 years. The temperatures crept into the low 90s, and the trails were dry; thankfully, a few weeks prior to race day, we had some rain activity, so the trails were in good condition. The 2022 event sold out in 30 minutes, seems the Park City trials still have the same allure … Read More

Written by: Shannon Boffeli After taking the 2020 season off due to Covid, Utah’s most-anticipated mountain bike race each year returned for its 13th edition. Taking in over 75 miles of Park City, Utah’s, world-renowned singletrack and 10,000 vertical feet of climbing, the Point 2 Point is known as one of the hardest single-day mountain bike races in the country.  This year riders from … Read More

2021 Park City Point 2 Point Entry Details

February 3, 2021 by admin

With the 2021 event date set for September 4th, 2021, we are now attempting to cautiously plan registration. All the signs and current efforts are "leaning" toward being able to hold the event, but one never knows. With that in mind, we've pushed the registration dates out a few more weeks so we can better evaluate the situation and not need to do a refund like last spring. Registration for … Read More

Park City Point 2 Point Releases a Virtual Ride for 2020

August 10, 2020 by admin

The Park City Point 2 Point released a virtual challenge.  The primary event, originally scheduled for Sept. 3rd, was canceled due to the unknown potential restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic. Race organizer, Jay Burke had this to say, “we released this activity as an outlet for some late summer fun on your bike - it isn’t being pushed out as a race, just something to encourage P2P fans to … Read More

2020 Park City Point 2 Point Canceled

June 4, 2020 by admin

2020 Point 2 Point riders and racers, we are disappointed to join the ranks of so many other local and national events and will be canceling this year's festivities. We will be back in 2021, mark your calendar now; the date will be Saturday, September 4, 2021. Through the years, we've worked hard to build a strong reputation as a must-do event. With that in mind, I don't feel we can execute … Read More

Do Your Body a Favor!

April 27, 2020 by admin

I'd guess that 50% of Point 2 Point riders have the simple goal of finishing the event, without too much discomfort. Because of this, I want to share a secret weapon with you. My name is Jay (I'm the P2P Race Director) and I'm over 50 years old and still active with multiple mountain sports that include alpine skiing and touring, bike racing/riding of all sorts, and nordic skiing, just to … Read More

#PCP2P2019 Race Report

September 3, 2019 by admin

Evelyn Dong and Alex Grant Conquer the Singletrack at PCP2P Written by: Shannon Boffeli Warm temperatures and a usually dry climate led up to this year’s Park City Point 2 Point.  It was clear that year eleven of northern Utah’s premier mountain bike event was going to be a challenge. Not just because of the 75-miles of singletrack and nearly 12,000 feet of climbing but the added … Read More

PCP2P 2019, Can You Do It?

August 28, 2019 by admin

Race day is near, and I thought it would be a good time to remind everyone riding this year of a few important details. First, packet pick-up is this Friday between 3PM - 7PM (racer address is at 6:30PM). The location is at the Basin Recreation Field House located at Kimball Junction. These are a few of the topics that will be covered on Friday night at the Racers Address.• No parking at … Read More

Is the course going to be the same as last year as outlined in Trailforks?

Lots of good memories in PC, specially because the p2p through the years there. From the hot ones, to the stormy year where the start had to be delayed… everyone I did was memorable. Miss you PC!

I am not trying to get any PRs or make podium or anything, just trying to finish. It seems like there are a million ways to train for this. Do you have any training sites or protocols you think are good for intermediate (just trying to finish) riders?
